KATE MOSS FOR RAG & BONE
Supermodel Kate Moss is the face for Rag & Bone! The collaboration is for Rag & Bone´s autumn campaign 2012 and was photographed by Craig McDean in Kentish Town, London. The atmosphere of this campaign was to capture Kate Moss is her very real moment. But why was the campaign photographed in London? “Rag & Bone is essentially a New York brand but our collections have always been influenced by our British roots, so it made total sense for us to open our first European flagship store in our hometown,” explained co-partner David Neville. “We worked with two industry icons; Kate and Craig and asked them to shoot outside of their usual working environments to create these almost raw, unique images,” said Marcus Wainwright, in a press release. “It wasn’t in a studio; it was just them on a derelict London street—Kate with minimal make-up and Craig with a hand-held camera and natural light.”
David Neville and Marcus Wainwright is the heads behind Rag & Bone and the brand was established during 2002 in New York. The duo has british heritage which permeated the entire brand. Rag & Bone has become famous for it´s wearable women’s and mens clothing and has a mixture of classic tailoring with an edgy look. Rag & Bone has won several prizes, Swarovski Award for emerging talent in Menswear in 2007 and Menswear Designer of the Year by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) in 2010.
